One of our biggest fundraisers of the year was The Stone House Museum’s annual holiday bazaar. Yuletide at the Stone House on November 3rd, 4th, and 5th was a beautiful event.

The committee chaired once again by Carol Mierzewski and Joy McCarron did a commendable job in raising money to support the ongoing, ever-increasing costs of keeping up Belchertown’s favorite house - a house that belongs to us all.

There were wonderful baskets displayed in the parlor that were raffled off or offered in the Silent Auction. There seemed to be a basket for everybody, festively wrapped and ready to present to someone. We continued the tradition of the Chinese Raffle.  We also had a new feature this year…The 2000 Straws Raffle. Every 8th straw pulled was a winner.  Thanks to all who contributed baskets, items or money toward this event.

To the cooks of the association, we thank you for the many and varied items for the kitchen sales area. Over 500 people attend our bazaar every year in search of jams, jellies, condiments, fruit and herb vinegars, breads, pies, cakes, fudge, cookies etc. Thanks to Nora Austin, our kitchen coordinator!

To our crafters who donated who their precious hand made items, we practically sold out!  Thanks to Judy Bettencourt who coordinated the items for our sales room.

Thanks also to all of you who made themselves available for a few hours on Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday.

This is a major fundraiser. The expenses of maintaining this old house are increasing every year. We could not do it without your help—your donations, your time, and your financial support to make it a success.
