Our Remembrance Garden book now has 759 mentions! And the garden itself has the most beautiful display of seasonal flowers ever, due to the exceptional artistry and loving care of Millie Harrington and Becki Smith. Be sure to check out the spring finery on opening day!

For donations targeted for the Remembrance Garden or other purposes, please contact the Belchertown Historical Association by mail, phone or email.

You might also want to visit the Museum Gift Shop - your purchases there help the Association as well.

Consider BHA in Your Estate Plans
A charitable planned gift offers you the opportunity to make a charitable gift of estate assets to the Belchertown Historical Association. This can be as simple as an outright gift of cash or as sophisticated as a charitable trust or foundation that is integrated into a multi-faceted financial and estate plan.  One of the easiest and most flexible forms of charitable planned gifts is a bequest. A bequest, a provision in your will, allows you to establish a legacy for the Belchertown Historical Association and reduce your taxable estate for the benefit of your heirs while retaining the use of your assets during your lifetime.  It is the easiest type of charitable gift that an individual can give, other than cash, and requires no financial outlay by you at this time.  If you are interested in making such a lasting gift, your financial or legal advisor can help explain how that could be done.

Volunteer Your Time
The good news is that we are growing and are offering more than ever. However, we need more volunteers to help us. Even a couple of hours can be a great contribution to the success of our organization and mission. At all the programs/events we offer during the year, we need people to make calls, make signs, help with planning/setup, collect admission fees, handout fliers, etc. Many of these activities can be done from your home or while you perform your own day-to-day activities. And, many of these activities do not require you to be involved at the actual day of the event. We have many options for your children to be involved as well. No prior experience or knowledge is necessary.

We also need people with ideas or experience and an “I can do/want to do” attitude. Many of our committees are in need of additional members to plan programs for the future. The committees that we currently have are: Fundraising, Membership, Building and Grounds, Finance, Museum and Archives, Nominating and By-laws.

Write or call us. Or, you can indicate your interest on the bottom of the membership form. Whether you have time or a talent you can share, we look forward to hearing from you.
